ALL ENDS Drummer Issues New Album Update

December 20, 2009

Swedish hard rock band ALL ENDS entered the studio on November 2 to begin recording its second full-length album for an early 2010 release. The forthcoming CD will mark the recording debut of the group's new singer, Jonna Sailon, who replaced Emma Gelotte (sister of IN FLAMES guitarist Björn Gelotte) in March.

ALL ENDS's new album is being produced by Roberto Laghi, who is said to be one of the most successful engineers and producers in Sweden (having worked on recordings that have collectively sold more than two million copies). He has recorded, mixed and produced such artists as IN FLAMES, MUSTASCH, HARDCORE SUPERSTAR and DIA PSALMA and has mixed the latest album from SONIC SYNDICATE. He primarily works out of IF (In Flames) Studios in Gothenburg, Sweden.

Commented drummer Joseph "Joey" Skansås: "We're so fucking proud [of] the songs, and I just want the world to hear them.

"I can, with all my heart, say that this is a special one and some of you guys will fall in love and some of you fans out there will not understand it at all. The songs are a new step for us and this will make us a really interesting live act in the future.

"We have some business stuff we need to take care of. When that's done, I will give you a release date [as soon as possible].

"Yesterday we recorded the vocals on a great song. The piano on this song is played by a guy who's been in this business for over 30 years. He worked with several artists such as SMASHING PUMPKINS, NINE INCH NAILS, NO DOUBT, but his major project is with one of the greatest. . . He's one of the most talented guys ever.

"We had a great day today. Tinna [Karlsdotter, one of two female vocalists] was ill for a few days, but she's back, and now Jonna is the one who's ill.

"What the fuck?!?!?

"But hey, that's the way it is, but we had a hell of a day today,

"Tinna is a champ. That girl never gives up; she's fucking great...

"So we tracked two songs today, and Roberto finally got the time to edit some guitars, so he's happy.

"Jonna is home just relaxing. Her throat is not good, not good at all... We just hope that she will be back December 25 to take on where she left off."

ALL ENDS will support KAMELOT on the following dates in April 2010:

Apr. 10 - Gothenburg, SWE - Trädgårn
Apr. 11 - Stockholm, SWE - Tyrol

The self-titled debut album from ALL ENDS was released in Germany on September 26, 2008 via GUN Records. The package contains a special feature and a bonus DVD with several videos.
